about a month in with the hip unit, mostly doing foothills around boise. held off posting bc i wanted to see if it actually helped with leg fatigue or if it was just dead weight on my waist.

app setup was fine, took like two minutes. biggest thing i noticed is the assistance on the leg swing—when you’re grinding uphill, you can definitely feel it kicking in so your hip flexors aren't doing all the heavy lifting. battery lasted my usual 3-hour loop with plenty left over.

credit to the devs on the tuning. honestly just nice being able to tackle steeper terrain on my own without gassing out 40 minutes in.

- The product packaging is very nice, and the included carrying case is of great quality.

- You need to assemble the device yourself — it's actually quite fun and quick to put together. It makes me feel like Iron Man building my own suit, All belts and straps can be manually adjusted in length.

- As for the user experience, I personally prefer the blue mode. I use this mode when walking my dog, and I have a great time playing with my pup. Before, I used to want to go home after just a short walk, but now I can take my dog out for a proper stroll.

- it Is a good deal so far, I'll buy one for my grandparents too, so they'll have an easier time walking their dog.

I genuinely haven’t had a bad experience with my unit yet. I got the h ultra. I use it a few days a week at work(restaurant manager) and it greatly reduces my fatigue and helps me get through my 14hr shifts.
Conversely, my son uses it for training and it really adds great resistance for his cardio routine.
Since I did purchase the ultra, I received 3 batteries and I’ve never drained 2 in a day.

Honestly didn’t think the auto terrain thing would make that much of a difference, but I was wrong. The best way I can describe it is that it just knows when you're struggling. On the flat parts it stays quiet, but as soon as you hit an incline, the motors give your thighs this instant boost right when you step. Saves a ton of leg power. Usually after a 3-mile uphill walk my thighs feel like lead and I'm wiped out for the rest of the day, but I got home yesterday with plenty of energy left. Really glad I got this.

Setting aside the terribly planned roll out and lack of communication/response to backers, this review will focus on the exoskeleton experience itself as in the end I did receive the product I ordered.
I was a 25 year medical professional with an expertise in biomechanics so this technology is super exciting and in my wheelhouse. Set up was straight forward and I was able to fit my exoskeleton specific to me following the directions provided. I did find a better fit by placing the hip motors on the third link instead of the second link. I also added one less link than recommended to the belt on each side to have a firm fit which completely resolved all rotational torque and made the unit feel like an extension of my body instead of a wearable unit. Once set up I was able to pair to the app and tried all levels of functionality with great results. Unit was super quiet initially but I have noted some squeaking and clicking through further use.
I purchased my Ultra H with the idea of less wheelchair utilization and increased community engagement. What I have found since is that it absolutely has far more day to day benefits in ADL’s, household mobility, and energy conservation than I ever expected.
A few items of concern: The front buckle should have been upgraded to prevent the straps from sliding off so easily. One of my thigh pads has already come off and luckily the screws were caught inside of the attachment so I did not lose them. I was able to resolve this problem by disassembling and retightening all the screws. More or better quality lock tight on all the screws is needed. In only a few weeks of use I have had multiple screws come loose. Spare screws should be sent with all units for this exact reason. Batteries do not last near what they are rated for so be aware of that. Luckily I am an early backer so I have multiple batteries making this less of a concern.
I love my exoskeleton and it has positively impacted my quality of life as a disabled user. I am able to accomplish more with the same capacity limitations which is a game changer. All in all I am thrilled with my purchase and am excited to have this new tool to improve my life as a fully disabled user. Thank you Ascentiz!!
